Bush asserts progress in Iraq war - Yahoo! News

President Bush is trying to raise American people's hopes on a war which was lost the day Abu Gharib prisoner abuse came to the light. Instead of continue the failed war policy of losing brave American soldiers in a war that has become a civil war filled with ethnic cleansing, Bush needs to ask himself few questions:

(1) Why does he find himself without a decisive American victory in Iraq after more than five years into Iraq war?

(2) He needs to analyze whether it is Iraqi insurgency or America's war plan that is making the US lose this war?

(3) If there is no victory in Iraq then what is it? A defeat?

The key point here is that instead of dreaming victory in Iraq, we need to ask ourselves a question: This is how we handled the Iraq war - what would be do if there was a war between China & Taiwan or major regional conflict?

We should also remember that if (1) we do not allow American people to grieve for soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country by hiding coffins from public news coverage or (2) we chose, at one point, using forklift to shift coffins to Airplanes for soldiers' last journey's to their motherland or (3) we failed to provide health care to wounded soldiers, we don't deserve to win wars because we are not sincere towards the brave people who sacrifice their lives for their country. This is what happens when wars are used to advance political ambitions.
