BJP not an enemy of the Muslims: Nazjma Hepatulla- Hindustan Times

Nazjma Hepatulla makes an objective assessment of how minorities have been treated in Post-Independence India. Rahul Gandhi's comments about how Gandhi family partitioned Pakistan is rather childish. Bangla Desh freedom was the result of freedom movement led by late Mujibur Rehman. It was a result of sacrifice of brave Indian troops and financial sacrifice of Indian people after 1971 war. Rahul Gandhi's comments are an insult to Late Smt Indira Gandhi and brave Indian soldiers.

The fact of the matter is that the BJP cannot be an enemy of any minority group including Muslims. Indian constitutions is very clear about India's secular status. In the long run, it will be beneficial for Mulsims to join BJP in large numbers because this is the only political party in India which believes in equality for all citizens. The welfare money coming from the Govt can never make any citizen rich. What makes the big difference is the right to equality and equal opportunities for all Indian children. Muslims should not depend on Congress and its UPA allies because all they want is to use Muslim votes to cling on to power not to uplift the health, education and social status of all Indians including Muslims.
